Городское пространство как фактор места обретения молодежью своего будущего
Based on the materials of a sociological study, the article reveals the attitude of young people towards their hometown. A comprehensive review of the system of views of young people on the development of urban space allowed us to identify two trends - patriotic (the need to live and work in their hometown) and emigrant (the desire to find a more comfortable place to build their lives and careers). Based on the analysis of the life plans and work orientations of the younger generation, it is concluded that in small towns they are less likely to manifest themselves as patri-ots or immigrants. As the size of the city increases, the proportion of emigrants increases. At the same time, the number of patriotic young people in cities with a population of one million is no-ticeably increasing, as these cities give them more opportunities to find themselves in the profes-sion, in social relations and in their personal lives. In general, the development of patriotism for them is associated with two motivational factors - satisfaction with the comfort of the city and the self-identification of young people as old-timers. It is shown that patriotic and emigrant sen-timents have a pronounced correlation with the age of young people and reach their maximum by the age of 19-21. In their attitudes, there is a demand to master a good profession, focus on high-paying work and the possibility of a comfortable stay.
