P12-7 Therapeutic potential of hinokitiol in inhibiting uterine leiomyoma proliferation and extracellular matrix accumulation
Uterine leiomyoma, prevalent in women of reproductive age, are benign tumors with stem cell-like characteristics, high proliferative capacity, and excessive extracellular matrix (ECM) deposition. These attributes lead to high recurrence rates and make complete elimination challenging with current surgical and pharmaceutical interventions. Thus, discovering natural compounds that can mitigate recurrence is essential. Hinokitiol, recognized for its antitumor properties, holds potential for inhibiting leiomyoma proliferation and stemness progression.
