A Study of Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4 in Iraqi Patients with Coronary Artery Disease

Heart and blood vessel illnesses are collectively referred to as cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Although there is, till now, no known cure for the deadly disease known as CAD, it is extremely predictable, treatable, and preventative. Dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP4) is a single-pass transmembrane protein that regulates glucose levels and has several roles in the immune system, cell migration and proliferation, and other areas. The purpose of the study is to measure the DPP 4 levels in the sera of Iraqi patients with CAD. The DPP4 was measured in Iraqi patients' serum in the current investigation to evaluate, which included forty patient's CAD who were compared with 40 control. In comparison to the control group, the results revealed a substantial rise in DPP4 levels (p > 0.05) in CAD. The DPP4 ROC curve clearly showed that the cut-off value for people with cardiac problems was 15.715. The results of the study indicated that there are several critical indicators between the sera of patients with CAD and controls. These markers included fasting blood glucose (FBG), lipid profiles, urea, creatinine and uric acid. Finally, serum DPP4 is an accurate marker that is able to differentiate CAD and patients from control.

Abstract
