Context-Aware Secret Key Generation Demonstrator based on Physical Layer Security

This demonstrator showcases the entire secret key generation (SKG) end-to-end chain between the legitimate users. Two universal software radio peripherals (USRP) x410s are configured as legitimate users who exchange signals with each other. The random forest classifier is used to identify the context based on the received signals, i.e, line-of-sight (LoS)/non-line-of-sight (NLoS) static and dynamic channels. Based on the channel/environment information, the parameters for the different stages of the SKG protocol are set to maximize the achievable SKG rates while minimizing the leakage. The demonstrator shows the entire end-to-end chain i.e, signal exchange, context detection, and key generation, and the generated key bits are visualized in the form of a physical key.
