Prevalence and Correlates of Hyperglycemia Among People Living With HIV and TB on Dolutegravir‐Based Antiretroviral Therapy in Zimbabwe: A Cross‐Sectional Study
The study findings indicate that the prevalence of hyperglycemia and impaired glucose regulation is high in patients taking dolutegravir-based antiretroviral therapy in Zimbabwe. People living with both HIV and TB taking a double dose of dolutegravir are at a higher risk of hyperglycemia and impaired glucose regulation than those taking lower doses. This emphasizes the necessity for clinical and public health interventions to mitigate this emerging hyperglycaemic risk.
