Preparation of <scp>PVDF</scp> / <scp>PDMS</scp> Polymer Membrane by Electrospinning and Its Separation of Phenol Wastewater
ABSTRACT Phenolic compounds in wastewater are harmful to the human body and aquatic ecosystem, even at low concentrations. Therefore, the effective removal of phenolic wastewater is of great significance. As a new separation technology, membrane separation is of great significance to prepare membranes with excellent hydrophobicity. Membranes prepared by electrospinning have the advantages of high specific surface area, high porosity and easy operation. In this study, polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)/polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) blended membranes were prepared by electrospinning. The effects of the spinning voltage, propulsion speed and mass ratio of PVDF and PDMS on the microstructure and hydrophobic properties of the membrane were investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), contact angle measurement (JC2000DF) and other test methods. The results showed that when the voltage was 11–12 kV, the propulsion speed was 0.5 mL/h, and the PVDF/PDMS mass ratio was 5:2, the water contact angle was 137.5°, and the blend membranes had the best film‐forming properties. A self‐made membrane separation system (MARS) device was used to test the phenol mass transfer separation performance of the membrane; the phenol removal rate within 24 h was 43.2%, and the total mass transfer coefficient was 12.7 × 10 −7 m/s. The membrane can effectively treat ethanol‐containingll wastewater.
