The Role of Antiviral Treatment of Influenza in Reducing Hospitalizations and Other Severe Outcomes: A Need for More Evidence

Abstract More evidence is needed to define the benefits and role of antiviral treatment to reduce risk of severe influenza outcomes based on clinical risk factors and timing. Well-conducted real-world observational studies can complement evidence from randomized controlled trials to address critical gaps.
