Investigating Real-World Evidence and Reported Survival Outcomes of CDK4/6 Inhibitors in HR+/HER2− Advanced Breast Cancer
The purpose of this commentary is to review the methodological approaches used in key real-world (RW) studies that compared overall survival with cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6 (CDK4/6) inhibitors in metastatic breast cancer.Through this lens, the article highlights the necessity of clarifying how RW data aligns with or diverges from clinical trial results, addressing an ongoing question in the oncology community about the applicability of clinical findings in everyday practice.
