Interpretation of standards for rapid polymerase chain reaction identification of traditional Chinese medicines
The rapid PCR identification technology plays a crucial role in the quality control of traditional Chinese medicinal materials and decoction pieces. This technology, based on the principle of polymerase chain reaction (PCR), can quickly and accurately identify the authenticity of medicinal materials, thereby ensuring the safety and effectiveness of drugs. To promote the standardized development of rapid PCR identification, the China Association of Chinese Medicine has approved and issued 3 group standards led by the National Resource Center for Chinese Materia Medica, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. These standards are Quickly PCR Identification of Lonicerae japonicae flos (T/CACM 013-2016), Quickly PCR Identification of Bungarus parvus (T/CACM 012-2016), and Quickly PCR Identification of Rhizoma bletillae (T/CACM 1027.105-2018). This paper provides a detailed interpretation of the above standards, expounds on the principles, methods, and applications of rapid PCR identification, and its significance in the traditional Chinese medicine industry, so as to promote the development of rapid PCR identification and the inheritance and innovation of traditional Chinese medicine identification.
