Effect of Dimethylaminohexadecyl Methacrylate With and Without Nystatin on the Hardness, Water Sorption, and Water Solubility of Polymethyl Methacrylate (PMMA) Denture Base Resin
Low levels of DMAHDM significantly improve hardness, but higher concentrations and the addition of nystatin increase water uptake and solubility, which may negatively impact long-term stability. Optimization of DMAHDM loading is warranted.
