Smart Healthcare Communication and Monitoring System Using IoT

Abstract: Innovative healthcare systems are rapidly transforming conventional medical practices by leveraging state-of- the-art technologies such as the Internet of Things, computer vision, and deep learning. This research paper examines the development and implementation of IoT-enabled devices, wearable sensors, microcontroller platforms like ESP32, and vision-based analytics for the real-time observation of patients and gesture-driven communication within healthcare environments. The proposed system continuously tracks vital signs and interprets patient gestures, facilitating timely interventions and enhancing communication between patients and healthcare providers. The experimental assessment evaluates the efficiency, response times, usability, and overall performance of the system in comparison to traditional healthcare methods. Furthermore, the paper discusses challenges concerning data privacy, interoperability, scalability, and technical specifications, as well as emerging trends and potential future advancements in connected healthcare solutions. The findings suggest that integrating IoT and vision-based technologies could greatly improve patient care, optimize healthcare operations, and foster more responsive, efficient, and patient-centric medical settings.
