Analysis of female leadership trends in the context of higher education
This bibliometric study focuses on analyzing trends in female leadership in the context of higher education, using a methodology based on the PRISMA-2020 framework and collecting relevant literature from sources such as Scopus. The results reveal a total of 276 articles related to the topic, and a growing interest is identified since 2006 with a significant peak starting in 2018, which suggests a significant expansion in the understanding of the field. In addition, productivity and impact indicators were explored, identifying authors, journals, and countries highlighted in the research. The study will also examine key concepts through networks of co-occurrence, evidencing a shift from traditional concepts to more contemporary terms, such as “self-leadership”, “leadership development”, “leadership styles”, “leadership skills” and “leadership”, ethical”. This indicates significant transformations in perceptions and understandings of female leadership today.
