Practice of science and technology information service for traditional Chinese medicine industry in Jilin provincial library

A correct understanding of the deep level technological information services provided by public libraries is not only beneficial for utilizing public information service functions, identifying development positioning, and expanding their service areas, but also improve the level of regional scientific research and provide scientific decision-making basis for relevant departments such as the government, enterprises, and scientific research units. Jilin Provincial Library's patent data resources and technology information services are utilized in this article, using the Tianma patent analysis service as an example. The article search, statistically analyze and visualize patent literature related to traditional Chinese medicine Tianma from the perspective of patent analysis, sort out domestic and foreign Tianma related patent data and technology development status, and evaluate the current status and development trend of technological innovation in the Tianma field from multiple dimensions such as patent composition, application trends, national (regional) distribution, legal status, and patent value. According to the results, China has a wide range of innovative accomplishments in Tianma technology and a diverse patent portfolio, but there are also weaknesses such as poor patent quality, poor operation, and low conversion rate of achievements. Relevant suggestions are proposed to strengthen the scientific and technological information services of public libraries.
