Status and prospect of free admission of science and technology museums of in China

This paper comprehensively reviews the status of the free admission of science and technology museums in China. The investigation demonstrates a steady increase in both the quantity and quality of publicly accessible institutions, paralleled by continuous enhancements in exhibition diversity, pedagogical effectiveness, and visitor satisfaction metrics. Based on the review the historical experience and typical cases that can be popularized and replicated of free admission of science and technology museums, this paper also pointed out the existing problems and their causes in the current work, and puts forward specific suggestions for promoting the further development of free admission of science and technology museums in China. These contents will provide useful reference for science popularization policy makers and researchers.
