Structural design and functional characterization of dicationic pyrazolium salts as organic ionic plastic crystals

New organic ionic plastic crystals based on 1,4-bis[ N -( N ′-alkylpyrazolium)]butane PF 6 − salts exhibit unique phase transition behaviors. The octyl derivative with LiTf 2 N mixture showed ionic conductivity 1.31 × 10 −3 S cm −1 at 70 o C.

Abstract

New organic ionic plastic crystals based on 1,4-bis[ N -( N ′-alkylpyrazolium)]butane PF 6 − salts exhibit unique phase transition behaviors. The octyl derivative with LiTf 2 N mixture showed ionic conductivity 1.31 × 10 −3 S cm −1 at 70 o C.
