In the framework of colinear quantum chromodynamics factorization, where the leading twist amplitude is the convolution of GDAs and a perturbatively calculable coefficient function, we study the scattering amplitude for the baryonic channels where <f:math xmlns:f="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"> <f:mi>B</f:mi> </f:math> is a spin <h:math xmlns:h="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"> <h:mn>1</h:mn> <h:mo>/</h:mo> <h:mn>2</h:mn> </h:math> baryon such as the nucleon or hyperon <j:math xmlns:j="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"> <j:mrow> <j:mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</j:mi> </j:mrow> </j:math> , <m:math xmlns:m="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"> <m:mrow> <m:mi mathvariant="normal">Σ</m:mi> </m:mrow> </m:math> . Taking into account the interfering quantum electrodynamics amplitude, we calculate the cross section of the <p:math xmlns:p="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"> <p:msup> <p:mi>e</p:mi> <p:mo>±</p:mo> </p:msup> <p:mi>γ</p:mi> <p:mo stretchy="false">→</p:mo> <p:msup> <p:mi>e</p:mi> <p:mo>±</p:mo> </p:msup> <p:mi>B</p:mi> <p:mover accent="true"> <p:mi>B</p:mi> <p:mo stretchy="false">¯</p:mo> </p:mover> </p:math> process, which can be experimentally studied in <u:math xmlns:u="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"> <u:msup> <u:mi>e</u:mi> <u:mo>−</u:mo> </u:msup> <u:msup> <u:mi>e</u:mi> <u:mo>+</u:mo> </u:msup> </u:math> as well as in electron-ion facilities. We explore both the final state polarization summed case and the polarization dependent effects. Numerical estimates are presented for <w:math xmlns:w="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"> <w:msup> <w:mi>e</w:mi> <w:mo>−</w:mo> </w:msup> <w:mi>γ</w:mi> <w:mo stretchy="false">→</w:mo> <w:msup> <w:mi>e</w:mi> <w:mo>−</w:mo> </w:msup> <w:mi>p</w:mi> <w:mover accent="true"> <w:mi>p</w:mi> <w:mo stretchy="false">¯</w:mo> </w:mover> </w:math> using motivated models for GDAs. Our results show that a first extraction of baryon-antibaryon GDAs from experimental measurements is feasible at Belle II.
