Modelling and Analysis of a Novel Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) Model Incorporating Awareness Programs
ABSTRACT This study presents a novel deterministic model for Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) incorporating awareness programs. Our construction of Lyapunov functions is particularly adept at investigating the global dynamics of the above system. Additionally, we design a corresponding optimal control system that includes awareness programs, immunity enhancement, and isolation strategies to contain infections. Our findings reveal that a combination of these interventions can significantly reduce infections within 15 years, contributing to the World Health Organization's ambitious goals for HCV eradication. Furthermore, conducting awareness programs emerges as a crucial and easily implementable component in disease prevention.
