Electrochemical sensors used to analyze the intervention mechanism of 2,3,5,4′-tetrahydroxystilbene-2-O-β-D-glycoside on tau phosphorylation in Alzheimer's disease via the PP2A pathway
This article explores the use of electrochemical sensors in medical diagnostics, focusing on their role in understanding how TSG affects Tau protein phosphorylation in Alzheimer's disease through the PP2A pathway. Electrochemical sensors are highly sensitive and specific, making them valuable for early disease diagnosis and biomarker detection. Advances in nanotechnology and biomaterials have improved these sensors, leading to better detection of clinically relevant biomarkers. A study using an Aβ25–35-induced rat model found that TSG treatment significantly increased PP2A expression and decreased I2PP2A and HIF-1 expression, resulting in reduced Tau protein phosphorylation. This suggests TSG's potential to mitigate Alzheimer's progression by influencing the PP2A pathway. Overall, electrochemical sensors play a significant role in Alzheimer's research, providing crucial data for understanding disease mechanisms and developing therapies. • To explore the mechanism by which 2,3,5,4′-tetrahydroxystilbene-2-O-β-D-glycoside (TSG). • The protein and mRNA expression levels of I2PP2A, and HIF-1 in the brain tissues in the model group were significantly upregulated. • TSG may interfere with tau protein phosphorylation through the PP2A pathway.
