The evaluation of declarative and objective knowledge of first aid for dental traumatic injuries among medical students: development and validation of a competency assessment tool

The findings indicate that the level of knowledge regarding dental trauma management among medical students is inadequate. The TDI-KNOW Index can serve as a valuable tool for assessing theoretical competencies and planning educational initiatives. It is essential to incorporate structured content on dental traumatology into the curriculum, utilizing active learning methods.
