Successful use of a carbon dioxide laser for multiple embedded sea urchin spines: an effective single-session treatment

We report the successful use of a fully ablative carbon dioxide (CO2) laser for the treatment of multiple embedded sea urchin spines in the heel of a returning traveller. The single-session procedure achieved immediate pain relief and complete healing by 12 weeks, demonstrating the CO2 laser as an effective alternative to conventional management.
