The Persian version of caregiver self-efficacy scale (CSES): A psychometric evaluation among family caregivers of patients with cancer
What is current knowledge? The Caregiver Self-Efficacy Scale (CSES) assesses self-efficacy in family caregivers of patients. Psychometric evaluation is essential to ensure cultural adaptation and measurement accuracy. Validity and reliability assessments are crucial for applying selfefficacy scales in different populations. What is new here? The Persian version of the CSES was psychometrically evaluated among Iranian family caregivers of cancer patients. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses identified two factors: caregiver self-management and patient challenges. The Persian CSES demonstrated satisfactory validity and reliability for use in Iran.
