Boosting electrocatalytic HER in cobalt porphyrin ionic POPs <i>via</i> alkylene bridge engineering
A series of alkylene-bridged cobalt porphyrin ionic POPs (iPOPs) were synthesized. Among them, the 1, 3-dibromopropane-linked iPOP demonstrated superior HER activity, requiring only 108 mV to achieve 10 mA cm-2. This enhanced performance stems from its optimal chain length, which facilitates efficient charge transport and maximizes the exposure of active Co-N sites, revealing a clear structure-activity relationship.
