The Impact of Disability on Household Services: Evidence From the American Time Use Survey Joseph T.
Individuals with disabilities typically endure both reduced employment opportunities and lower wages than individuals without disabilities. In addition to these losses, individuals with disabilities experience a decline in their ability to perform household services, displayed by both reduction of hours spent performing household services and relative productivity during completion of household tasks. This articles examines a data-based approach to measuring the impact of partial disability on household services through the use of American Time Use Survey (ATUS) data.
