Stress at work and burnout syndrome among educators in Novi Pazar
Modern changes in education demand from employees more and more commitment, competence and simultaneous execution of several different tasks. The daily effort that education workers make in performing their daily duties leads to the deterioration of their physical and psychological health, which results in stress and burnout at work. The subject of our work is to examine work stress and burnout syndrome among educators in Novi Pazar. The goals of our work are to examine whether there is a relationship between work stress and burnout among educators, and whether there is a relationship between these variables in relation to the gender, marital status and age of the respondents. We assumed that the association between all these variables exists. However, the results showed that there is an association between work stress and work burnout (p=0.00). There is no statistically significant difference in stress at work in relation to the gender of the respondent (p=0.207), while there is a difference in burnout at work in relation to the gender of the respondent (p=0.010). When it comes to the marital status of the respondents, the research results showed that there is no connection between stress at work (p=0.113) and burnout at work (p=0.255) in relation to the marital status of the respondents. The results showed that there is no statistically significant difference in stress at work (p=0.413) and burnout at work (p=0.850) in relation to the age of the respondents. Finally, the results of the regression analysis showed that there is a connection between stress at work (b=.145, p= 0.054) and burnout at work (b=.181, p= 0.010) only in relation to the age of the respondents.
