Shiga Toxin Profiles of Poultry-origin Escherichia coli Isolates with Low Levels of Antimicrobial Resistance to the Clinical and Laboratory Standard Institute-recommended Antibiotics for Surveillance in Human Beings
Low AMR incidence was recorded in E. coli isolates of poultry origin for CLSI-recommended old and newer classes of antibiotics. Higher levels of stx2 detections in antimicrobial-resistant E. coli isolates pose a significant public health threat.
