Merger of Centerstone, Brightli made official Nov. 3
The merger to create the nation's largest nonprofit behavioral health provider organization officially took effect on Nov. 3. Centerstone announced completion of the merger with Brightli, creating an organization of more than 10,000 employees serving 250,000 individuals a year under the more historically established Centerstone name. Leaders of the organizations have characterized the move as an opportunity to build on strengths and to establish a national voice in an effort to translate scientific knowledge about behavioral health into everyday practice (see “Centerstone, Brightli finalize plan to merge operations as of November,” MHW , Sept. 15, 2025; https://doi.org/10.1002/mhw.34581 ). “What makes this merger historic isn't just the scale; it's the opportunity to reach more people, invest in innovation and ensure no one faces behavioral health challenges alone,” Centerstone CEO‐elect and former Brightli CEO C.J. Davis said in a news release. The process of rebranding Brightli facilities, which include Preferred Family Healthcare, Burrell Behavioral Health and Clarity Healthcare, will unfold over the next 14 months, according to corporate officials. Leaders are emphasizing that there will be no disruption to patient care as a result of the merger.
