New tool launched to address tobacco disparities in BH

The National Partnership on Behavioral Health and Tobacco Use — co‐founded by the Smoking Cessation Leadership Center — last week announced that the Communications Workgroup of the National Partnership has developed a new educational resource: a PowerPoint slide deck that serves as a ready‐to‐use presentation tool. This deck helps external presenters inform audiences about the harms of tobacco, share treatment resources for individuals with behavioral health conditions and provide key references with credible citations. Presenters can tailor the content to their needs by selecting individual slides or presenting the complete deck. The National Partnership is offering members of its 100 Pioneers community exclusive first access to this valuable resource. They also are encouraging you to explore this resource, share it with colleagues across your organization, and distribute it to key external partners and contacts. Members of the National Partnership Communications Workgroup include the American Academy of Family Physicians, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Alliance on Mental Illness, National Association of Social Workers, and the American Society of Addiction Medicine. Abstract
