In Case You Haven't Heard…
The Headstrong Project — a national nonprofit delivering confidential, barrier‐free and trauma‐focused mental health care to veterans, service members, and their families — recently announced that more than $4 million was raised during the organization's annual Gala held in New York City on October 22, Businesswire reported Oct. 31. Former Navy SEAL Frank Larkin received the 2025 Moral Courage Award for his advocacy on mental health and suicide prevention, presented by former President Bill Clinton. Larkin's efforts honor his late son, Ryan, a decorated SEAL who died by suicide in 2017. Larkin's advocacy work has helped transform the national dialogue around post‐traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury, empowering veterans to seek help without fear or stigma. Hosted by Seth Meyers and sponsored by Carlisle Companies, the event drew leaders, clinicians, service members and veterans and supporters, including actors Ryan Eggold and Jocko Sims. Headstrong has delivered more than 250,000 clinical sessions nationwide and expects to reach 50,000 sessions this year.
