Electrochemically Promoted Aminothiocyanation of Unactivated Alkenes for the Synthesis of Thiocyanated Pyrrolidines
We report herein an electrochemical aminothiocyanation protocol for the synthesis of thiocyanated pyrrolidines from unactivated alkenes. This method exhibits mild reaction conditions, broad substrate scope, excellent regioselectivity, and can be applied for late‐stage functionalization of bioactive molecules. Mechanistic studies suggest that the reaction might proceed via a sulfonium ion pathway.
