The use of low-cost RFID chips in robotic automation systems

The article presents the problems of introducing RFID technology in the didactic process of technical schools in the field of automation and industrial robotics. A cheap, microprocessor-based authoring system based on RFID systems operating at the 13.56 MHz frequency standard is proposed. The developed system cooperates with the MPS500 assembly and production line model from FESTO and MELFA industrial robots from Mitsubishi. A data exchange interface between the microprocessor system and the PLC system operating at the 24 VDC standard is proposed and implemented. Examples of the implementation of the data exchange interface for the Ladder Diagram language are presented, as well as the results obtained in terms of the load of the program memory and data memory for Siemens S7-1200 controllers.
