Simple Kalecki model driven by shock impulses

This paper investigates the 1935 Kalecki model of economic dynamics, beginning with a brief review of classical results associated with its early formulation. Graphical visualizations are provided to illustrate the qualitative behavior of various solutions. In addition, the study introduces a modified version of the model by incorporating the Dirac delta distribution into the original differential equation. This modification yields new dynamical characteristics, including jump discontinuities at t = 0, which can be interpreted as abstract representations of sudden shocks or abrupt changes in the economic system. The results highlight how such singular perturbations can significantly influence the evolution of economic variables in the Kalecki framework.
