The use of artificial intelligence in logistics information systems
Artificial intelligence (AI) plays a huge role in today’s businesses and continues to adapt to changes in the market. Its use in the logistics industry is gradually increasing. AI brings with it many opportunities, but also risks. The aim of this article is to assess the use of artificial intelligence in logistics information systems. The research problem was formulated: to what extent do companies use AI in logistics information systems. The research gap concerns the use of AI in warehouse management through the WMS module, enterprise logistics through the use of ERP AI and SCM. Evaluating the implementation of AI and integrating logistics with WMS, ERP, SCM with AI can bring significant benefits to businesses, including increased productivity, better decision-making and improved competitiveness. However, implementing these technologies requires careful planning, coordination and attention to detail, such as integration complexity, data quality, resistance to change, security and privacy concerns, cost and skills shortages.
