Is it the time to do Digital Twin HPC Data Center?
The proliferation of Digital twins in industries and society, especially with AI technology, will enable open, connected, and coordinated intelligent spaces. The seamless connection and real-time data exchange between the physical and Digital Twin allow us to conduct real-time energy consumption simulation and energy-saving control. Therefore, combining AI technology and Blockchain technology to build the Digital Twin is conducive to researching adaptive, intelligent, and fault-tolerant Data Center (DC) energy-saving schemes more flexibly and dynamically. A novel energy-saving solution is proposed in this paper to realize green and safe DCs. With its real-time management, monitoring, and control capabilities, the Digital Twin DC approach provides a comprehensive visualization of the entire DC, enabling the coverage of the DC status and optimizing its functionalities. The authors also aim to demonstrate the potential benefits of the Digital Twin DC challenge to stakeholders utilizing Blockchain to tokenize High-Performance Computing (HPC) assets and implement Smart Contracts, which has significantly enhanced transparency, demonstrated by a 40% increase in cost visibility for shared resources. This technology enables real-time resource accounting and robust process control, aligning HPC operations with strict Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria, which is essential for organizations committed to meeting rigorous ESG standards.
