Analysis of heat transfer coefficient on plate stack surface in standing-wave thermoacoustic refrigeration machine
• In the existing literature describing the standing wave type thermoacoustic refrigeration mechanism, the vast majority are mainly qualitative explanations. Although there has been works that quantitatively explain the laws of heat conversion, the details of the heat transfer process between micro air masses and plate stacks have not been studied. The heat transfer coefficient h on the surface of the plate stack deeply reflects the law of heat transfer between micro air masses and the plate stack and is one of the important parameters for studying the temperature distribution on the surface of the plate stack. In this paper, l provides a comprehensive overview of the Heat transfer coefficient of plate stack surface in standing wave type thermoacoustic refrigeration machine. The variation of surface heat transfer coefficient was illustrated through examples. The results indicate that the factor with the greatest impact on the surface heat transfer coefficient is the particle velocity in the resonant cavity, and the surface heat transfer coefficient at the cold end of the plate stack changes the most. This study investigates heat transfer in a standing-wave thermoacoustic refrigerator through modeling under specific conditions. In previous studies, the surface heat transfer coefficient was usually set to a constant. In this study, Reynolds number and Prandtl number are taken as important parameters, and the change process of surface heat transfer coefficient is emphatically studied. We creatively use iterative method to determine steady-state temperature difference. The results show that gas velocity affects heat transfer coefficient, and the maximum value can reach 166.8 W / ( m 2 · K ) . The amplitude of gas temperature change is 3.18 K . Adjusting frequency will cause gas resonance. It enhances the oscillation amplitude and improves the cooling performance. This study establishes a predictive framework for stack temperature dynamics and offers practical guidelines for optimizing thermoacoustic refrigeration systems.
