Study on Corporate Litigation in International Business Context
The global expansion of firms increasingly exposes them to challenges arising from international disputes. In recent years, escalating geopolitical tensions and de-globalization forces have intensified conflicts in international business (IB). This dissertation examines three critical stages of the litigation process: the antecedents of a firm’s litigation risk, the determinants of court outcomes, and the consequences of litigation. It makes both theoretical and empirical contributions to the literature on international business, nationalism, and corporate litigation, while also offering practical insights for firms seeking to strengthen their competitiveness in the global marketplace.
