Empowering MSMEs Through a UI/UX-Centered IP Management Website: A Digital Approach to Economic Growth

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are vital contributors to economic growth, yet they typically encounter challenges in managing Intellectual Property (IP) due to their limited technical and legal resources. The present paper discusses the development of a UI/UX-centered website to support MSMEs in managing intellectual property, specifically trademarks. The website has been designed using a user-centered design approach in accordance with the Design Thinking stages, resulting an intuitive and accessible digital platform involving features plagiarism checking tools to prevent IP fraud and streamlined IP registration workflows. The development process involved prototyping and conducting user experience testing utilizing the UEQ method, to align with the needs of MSMEs entrepreneurs as the primary users. Whilst the present scope focuses on front-end development, future work includes collaboration with third parties to integrate blockchain technology for secure and transparent management of IP records. This project facilitates the establishment of a scalable digital solution that empowers MSMEs and contributes to inclusive economic growth.
