In the past few years, the number of gamers in Indonesia has continued to increase. According to Harvard Health Publishing, actively challenging the brain can also help in enhancing cognitive abilities. One way to challenge the brain is by playing puzzle games. Hence, through this study, we aim to determine the extent to which playing puzzle games can influence a person’s critical thinking ability and cultural appreciation abilities. Using usability testing and a questionnaire survey to evaluate the game “The Legend of South Coast” with a total of 35 participants, after analyzing the results we were able to come into a conclusion in terms of efficiency Introverts were more likely to agree that learning through games was more effective than extroverts. Still, both groups have similar perceptions regarding the ease of understanding the game. In conclusion, extroverts focused more on acquiring new information in learning, while Introverts felt that the game was more helpful in improving critical thinking skills.
