High dynamic range holography using logarithmic spectra and interpolation series

The reliance on optical filters during the hologram reconstruction process can introduce distortions in the light wave, resulting in less natural-looking reconstructions. To address this issue, one recommended approach is the use of Logarithmic Spectra. This technique not only eliminates the need for optical filters but also enhances the stability of the hologram, ultimately leading to higher clarity in the reconstructed image. Furthermore, within the Interpolation Series framework, the application of Logarithmic Interpolation Spectra is suggested as an alternative to accelerate the intensity balancing process without considering certain vari- ables in the reconstruction. This approach offers a practical solution in scenarios where processing time is a critical factor, without significantly compromising the quality of the result.
