Agile RF Systems for On-Demand Wireless Power Transfer

This paper provides a comprehensive overview of two advanced antenna array technologies: Frequency Diverse Arrays (FDAs) and Time Modulated Arrays (TMAs). After outlining their fundamental operating principles, the discussion highlights recent research developments related to these systems, with a particular emphasis on their potential as intelligent radiators in wireless power transfer (WPT) applications. The paper also presents a comparative analysis between these architectures and alternative approaches reported in the literature, considering both their radiative performance and practical design feasibility. The findings demonstrate that the proposed antenna configurations exhibit innovative features, positioning them as promising candidates for next-generation wireless power delivery systems.
