Study on oil vibration monitoring sensor based on optical fiber
Purpose To address the accuracy and long-distance transmission issues of common equipment vibration sensors, a new fiber-optic oil vibration monitoring sensor is proposed. This study aims to achieve vibration monitoring of equipment to ensure its safe operation. Design/methodology/approach The sensor uses a conical structure with damping force from slit flow. Its mathematical model is established. Simulink simulation is conducted to get the piston displacement-time curve and the influence of key structural parameters. Optimal structure parameters are obtained. ANSYS static analysis, intrinsic frequency calculation and experimental test are carried out. Findings The developed sensor meets practical engineering needs. In the 0.6–0.9 MPa range, its pressure sensitivity is 0.668 mW/MPa, linearity is 93.84% and repeatability is 2.17%. Originality/value It provides a new sensor for online equipment vibration monitoring and offers theoretical support and application basis for realtime reliable monitoring of equipment.
