Analytical study of the effect of refractive index and scattering angle on the light scattering ratio of aerosol particles
The precision of fire detection technology is essential for protecting lives and property, with the light scattering characteristics of aerosol particles being critical factors influencing the performance of fire detection systems. This study employs Mie scattering theory to analyze the light scattering ratio in fire detection, examining the effects of refractive index and scattering angle on aerosol particles to enhance fire detection technology. The findings reveal that scattering efficiencies vary with refractive index and size parameters, while extinction efficiencies are closely linked to these factors. Additionally, the study highlights the significant impact of scattering angle combinations on light scattering ratios, emphasizing the potential advantages of multi-wavelength detection technology in accurately identifying smoke particles and reducing false alarm rates.
