Effect of short-term exposure to air pollution on ischemic stroke incidence and mortality: a five-year time-series study in Jining, China
These findings suggest that short-term exposure to PM2.5, PM10, SO2, NO2, and CO leads to increased ischemic stroke morbidity and mortality. The elderly population, as well as the general population, should be better protected during the cold season.
