Mobile Health Application To Improve The Visual, Clinical Assessment, And Performance Towards Decubitus Ulcer Prevention Review Article

Introduction: Decubitus ulcers are damage to the skin and congenital soft tissues that appear due to prolonged lying in bed and depression, usually occurring in people with diabetes and spinal cord injuries. The development of information technology can have a positive effect on the detection, prevention, and treatment of decubitus ulcers. The purpose of this study was to determine the visual appearance, clinical assessment, and performance of several applications in terms of detecting, preventing, and treating decubitus ulcers. Methods: A systematic literature review that is narrative by making Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) as reporting items. Results: The study found that there is an application visualization that has several applications, reliable ulcer wound assessment, and application performance that follows technological developments using artificial intelligence (AI) features. Conclusion: Although some applications still get less visualization, especially in some learning modules, suggestions and input from some informants can be used as a stepping stone for future application updates and/or development.
