Monitoring tear monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 levels after endonasal versus external dacryocystorhinostomy: a prospective, longitudinal study
Both surgeries demonstrated comparable success rates and decreased tear MCP-1 levels during follow-up. In the first week, the mean MCP-1 level exhibited a significant peak increase in the ext-DCR group. Extended surgical duration is a recognised factor affecting the wound-healing process.
