Ignatian Leadership as an Emerging Paradigm: Attributes for Personal and Organizational Transformation
This article presents a critical systematization of Ignatian Leadership as an emerging paradigm of personal and organizational transformation. Through an exploratory systematic review of Ignatian and academic sources, seven key attributes are identified and analyzed: self-knowledge, inner freedom, discernment, magis, meaning, love, and transcendence. The study delves into their theoretical foundations, practical implications, and dynamic interrelationships. Ignatian Leadership is distinguished by its spiritual grounding and holistic approach, offering a robust alternative to fragmented models and a framework for addressing contemporary challenges marked by disorientation, hopelessness, and superficiality. The internal tensions and the limits of its applicability in predominantly secular contexts are also discussed. This research clarifies the constitutive elements of Ignatian Leadership, enhancing its conceptual rigor and practical relevance, and invites future explorations of this differential paradigm, given its capacity to inspire processes of profound transformation in personal, social, academic, and professional contexts.
