A Potential Marker for Neoplastic Proliferation and Treatment Response in Colorectal Cancer
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a prevalent malignancy characterized by high mortality, unclear pathogenesis, and a lack of effective diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers. PI4K2B, a key member of the PI4K family, plays a crucial role in synthesizing the second messenger inositol triphosphate (IP3). However, research on the relationship between PI4K2B and cancer remains limited, and its role in CRC is unclear. This study leverages multiple public databases for bioinformatics analyses to elucidate the correlation between PI4K2B and CRC, revealing its potential dual role as both a driver of CRC development and a protective factor for CRC prognosis.
