Research on the prevention and management of soy protein-related allergies in children
Soy products are commonly used as food flavoring agents and in the weaning process of Asian children with lactose intolerance or cow's milk protein allergy; however, soy protein itself can also induce allergies in children. This article reviews the sensitization mechanisms, risk factors, detection methods, and management approaches of soy protein-induced allergies in children, aiming to prevent soy protein allergies in Chinese children and increase soy intake.
