Quantifying surface contamination in a primary care clinic using 3D gestural human-computer interaction
The implementation of 3D gestural HCI has the opportunity to reduce surface contamination and potentially reduce the risk of HAIs. Because the process was found to take longer with the 3D gestural technology, this technology could affect overall healthcare processes. Future work should investigate how the technology should be developed for use in healthcare systems as well as explore other high-risk areas in healthcare.
