Behavioral Clusters of Diet, Physical Activity, and Sedentary Behavior Among Moroccan School-Age Adolescents: A Latent Class Analysis
To our knowledge, this is the first national LCA of UD, insufficient PA, and SB among Moroccan adolescents, identifying three recurrent profiles all underpinned by insufficient PA and differentiated by diet. Findings inform policy and practice, supporting school-based, multi-behavior programs pairing PA promotion with dietary improvements and brief mental health support, with priority for boys, urban schools, and smokers. Estimates are sample-specific; future work should use survey-weighted/three-step LCA and longitudinal, multilevel designs incorporating sleep and objective PA.
