Research on the Manifestations, Causes, and Mitigation Pathways of Parental Education Anxiety under the “Double Reduction” Policy
The “Double Reduction” policy has achieved remarkable results in alleviating students’ homework burden and regulating off-campus tutoring. However, parental education anxiety has not been fundamentally eliminated. This anxiety mainly stems from difficulties in the transition of parental roles, legacy issues of education capitalization, and the misalignment between macro-level education strategies and individual actions. To alleviate this anxiety, the government should optimize resource allocation and deepen evaluation reforms, schools should improve the quality of after-school services and strengthen home-school collaboration, society should regulate the tutoring market and enhance public opinion guidance, and families should establish a scientific view of talent development and improve their educational capabilities. These joint efforts will form a multi-stakeholder synergy to promote the healthy development of the education ecosystem.
